16th May 2010 - Article on Foundation published in the Mail on Sunday.
20-22 April 2010- A sale of pictures at the Guy Peppiatt and Stephen Ongpin Gallery in St James's, London raised £14,000 for the Foundation.
9th October 2009 - Henry Worsley and Richard "Ronnie" Gray spoke to parents and children of Cheam School in Headley, Hampshire, raising £3,000 in the process.
14th July 2009 - The "Heroes for the Future" programme, founded by Rachael Roser and supported by the Shackleton Foundation is launched in Hastings. Henry Worsley spoke at the first lecture (see below left) and as part of the workshop the children created their own life maps (below right).

20th May 2009 - Centenary Expedition Leader Henry Worsley gave a lecture to the Royal Scottish Geographical Society in Perth, Scotland. The lecture raised nearly £900 for the Foundation.
At the end of the lecture he received a cheque for over £1000 from Caitlin Daisley of 32nd Greenock & District Scout Group. Caitlin had come to the expedition farewell party in October 2008, and handed Henry her "neckie", asking him to take it to the South Pole. Having duly taken it to the Pole, Henry gave it back to Caitlin complete with a photo of it at the Pole!
23rd April 2009 - HRH The Princess Royal attended a reception to mark the safe return of the centenary expedition. See a selection of photos here.
17th October 2008 - Henry Worsley, expedition leader and Andrew Ledger appear on BBC Breakfast. Watch a clip below.
16th October 2008- At the Matrix Shackleton Centenary Expedition farewell party, Alexandra Shackleton, grandaughter of Sir Ernest, presents Henry Worsley with Shackleton's compass that he carried on the original 1908 expedition. Henry will now carry this compass to the South Pole, a journey that it failed to complete in 1908-9.
25th September 2008 - The Green Door Grill in London launches the Shackleton Menu. Watch a clip from ITV's London Tonight below.
2nd-5th September 2008 - Picture Sale. Caroline Cornell and Professor Ken Howard RA organised a sale of pictures kindly donated by some of today's leading UK artists. The sale which took place at the Fleming Collection Gallery, in Berkeley Street, raised £30,000 for the Foundation.

25th June 2008. First Shackleton Leadership Award, worth £10,000 presented to Nick Nielsen, Founder of Envision.

25th June 2008 - Fundraising dinner, talk and
auction. At L'Avenue in St James's Street, London SW1, this event featured a talk by acclaimed polar explorer
Robert Swan OBE.
£70,000 was raised, including the rights to name the villain in
Andy Mcnab's next novel, which sold for £10,000!
13 April 2008 - Melissa Shipton completes The London Marathon as our first Marathon fundraiser, raising £13,000 in the process. Well Done!
15 March 2008 - New Foundation website launched.
12 March 2008 - Centenary Expedition leader Lieutenant Colonel Henry Worsley gives a lecture to 250 people in Newbury, raising some £6,000 in the process for the Foundation.
