Guy Peppiatt and Stephen Ongpin Gallery, 20-22 April 2010, 10.00-5.30pm
The name Sir Ernest Shackleton speaks of courage, determination and inspired leadership, and for three days in April a selling exhibition of almost 100 works at a central London gallery will raise funds for a foundation which furthers the spirit he embodied.
The exhibition in April 2010 at the Guy Peppiatt and Stephen Ongpin Gallery in Mason's Yard in London's St. James's, will comprise almost 100 works - mostly paintings and watercolours, and a small number of bronzes - by approximately 30 different artists. Prices range from £500 to £10,000. Many of the artists whose work will be represented are of international standing including Mark Adlington, Julian Barrow, Arabella Dorman, Sean Henry, David Howell and Andrew Stock, while others are up-and-coming young artists who have not previously exhibited in central London.
The exhibition opens Tuesday 20th, until Thursday 22nd April 2010, 10.00am-5.30pm.
Use of the gallery has generously been donated free of charge, and all revenue from sales will go direct to the Foundation.
